What We Are

Precision Meal Plans Built for People Who Train

CALIBRATE is a precision nutrition system — not a diet, not a lifestyle brand. A structured set of meal plans designed to hit specific calorie and macronutrient targets for ten different body goals. Every gram calculated. Every day within 50 kcal of target.

Each plan is a 14-day whole-food framework built around five daily meals: breakfast, two snacks, lunch, and dinner. The calories and macros for each slot are set by your goal and your activity level — then distributed across the day in a way that fits how people actually eat.

Built Around Goals, Not Guesses

Every plan is anchored to one of ten user profiles — combinations of goal (fat loss, maintenance, muscle gain), sex, and activity level. Calorie and macro targets are calculated from established TDEE formulas based on anchor weights: 85 kg for male plans, 65 kg for female plans.

Fat loss plans create a 500 kcal daily deficit — enough to lose fat consistently, conservative enough to preserve muscle. Muscle gain plans build in a 250 kcal daily surplus — enough to drive growth without unnecessary fat gain. Prime plans are calibrated to match daily energy expenditure as precisely as possible.

What You Actually Eat

The plans are built entirely around whole, accessible foods. No powders required. No hard-to-find ingredients. Everything is available at Pick n Pay, Checkers, or Woolworths any day of the week.

Protein sources rotate across chicken breast, lean mince, beef steak, canned tuna, pilchards, and eggs. Carbohydrates come from white rice, sweet potatoes, oats, seeded bread, and pasta. Fats are managed through avocado, olive oil, eggs, and full-fat dairy where appropriate.

Every ingredient was selected on three criteria: nutritional density, affordability, and practical availability in South Africa. Nothing exotic. Nothing that requires ordering online.

How the Plans Were Structured

Each 14-day plan follows a consistent daily structure. Breakfast anchors the day with protein and a complex carbohydrate. Snacks bridge the calorie gaps — typically a protein shake, Greek yogurt with fruit, rice cakes with peanut butter, or biltong. Lunch and dinner rotate protein sources on a fixed weekly schedule. Vegetables feature at lunch and dinner every day.

Protein is distributed across all five meals to support muscle protein synthesis throughout the day. Carbohydrates are concentrated around training windows. Fats are kept consistent and predictable across the week.

No meal prep beyond standard cooking is required. Every dish is built on the same simple principle: a protein, a carbohydrate, and a vegetable — cooked with minimal oil and seasoning.

What Makes CALIBRATE Different

Most meal plans give you recipes. CALIBRATE gives you a system.

The difference is precision. Every gram is calculated. The plans are built by working backwards from a macro target — then finding combinations of real food that hit those numbers within practical serving sizes. There are no proprietary supplements, no branded products, and no monthly subscriptions. You buy the plan once, take it to the grocery store, and follow it.

We are also transparent about what a fixed plan cannot do. Every plan is built around a reference weight — and when your weight differs significantly from that anchor, the numbers shift. That is why the CALIBRATE Weight Scaling Calculator exists.

Plan Weight Guide

How CALIBRATE Plans Are Built

Every CALIBRATE plan is built around a specific body weight. That is by design.

Calories and portion sizes are calculated to hit precise targets — within 50 kcal of your goal. To do that, we need a starting point. That starting point is called an anchor weight.

What Is an Anchor Weight?

An anchor weight is the body weight each plan is designed for. All men’s plans use an 85 kg anchor weight. All women’s plans use a 65 kg anchor weight.

Every calorie target, protein portion, and meal in the plan is calculated for that weight. If you are close to the anchor, the plan works exactly as intended.

Why Your Weight Matters

Your body burns a set number of calories every day — at rest and during activity. Heavier bodies burn more. Lighter bodies burn less.

Each plan is designed to create the right gap between what you eat and what you burn. Fat loss plans target a 500 calorie daily deficit — enough to lose fat steadily without losing muscle. Muscle gain plans target a 250 calorie daily surplus — enough to build muscle without excess fat gain. Prime plans are set to match your daily burn as closely as possible.

When your weight is close to the anchor, those gaps work as planned. When your weight is further away, the gaps shift — and so do your results.

Who the Plans Work Best For

Goal Men (85 kg anchor) Women (65 kg anchor)
Shred / Sculpt 75–95 kg 55–75 kg
Forge / Build 70–100 kg 50–80 kg
Prime 73–100 kg 53–80 kg

Outside These Ranges? Here Is What to Know

We want to be upfront about this.

Significantly above the fat loss range: You will be eating at a larger deficit than the plan intends. You will still lose weight — possibly faster — but the risk of losing muscle and running low on energy increases. We recommend using the CALIBRATE Weight Scaling Calculator to adjust your portions before you start.

Significantly below the fat loss range: Your deficit will be smaller than planned. You will still lose fat, just more slowly. The plan is safe to follow as-is, but the calculator can help you get more precise.

Significantly above the muscle gain range: The plan may land close to your maintenance rather than above it. You may not be eating enough to build muscle effectively. Use the calculator to scale your portions up.

Significantly below any plan’s range: The total food volume will be too large for your needs. The calculator will scale your portions down to match your actual requirements.

Managing a medical condition that affects your metabolism — such as a thyroid condition, insulin resistance, or PCOS — please speak to a healthcare provider before starting any structured nutrition plan. These plans are built around whole foods and sound principles, but they are not clinical protocols.
